Turkmenistan and OSCE Implement 40 Joint Projects in 2025
Turkmenistan, in collaboration with the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe (OSCE) Center in Ashgabat, relevant government bodies, and public organizations, developed a project plan for 2025. According to this plan, the country aims to implement 40 projects this year, as stated by Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Rashid Meredov during a recent online government meeting on Friday.
The document covers key aspects of partnership with the OSCE, including politics, economy, ecology, and humanitarian issues. Priorities include strengthening peace and security, developing preventive diplomacy, ensuring cybersecurity, enhancing energy efficiency, and promoting environmental sustainability, as reported by official media of Turkmenistan.
In the humanitarian sector, the plan includes activities to support science and education, protect human rights, improve democratic institutions, ensure gender equality, and develop media.
In summarizing the discussions, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that expanding cooperation with international organizations remains a priority for the country’s foreign policy. The head of state approved the working plan for the partnership with the OSCE and tasked the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister with ensuring its effective implementation.
The government meeting also addressed several other important issues affecting state life, leading to relevant decisions.
