Turkmenistan’s Foreign Economic Bank launched a new payment system, Galkynyş, allowing clients to make remote payments in both national and foreign currencies.

The system lets users manage bank accounts, track financial transactions, and submit online applications for opening or reissuing cards and obtaining loans, as reported by the newspaper Neutral Turkmenistan on Wednesday.

To access the service, clients must visit the bank’s central office or branches.

Turkmenistan’s Foreign Economic Bank represents the government in international capital markets, securing loans for strategic projects. The bank also represents Turkmenistan in the Islamic Development Bank.
