President of Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev met with Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Nokerguly Atagulyev on the sidelines of the Tashkent International Investment Forum, as reported by the press service of the President of Uzbekistan on Tuesday.

The two sides discussed key issues related to the further development and strengthening of Uzbek-Turkmen relations, with a focus on friendship, good neighborliness, and strategic partnership.

Particular attention was given to shaping a new agenda for comprehensive cooperation in trade, the economy, transport, communications, energy, and water management. They also emphasized enhancing collaboration across various sectors of the economy.

Both parties stressed the importance of thorough preparation for the upcoming Regions Forum and a series of joint business and cultural events.
