Russian logistics and transport experts have officially confirmed the high competitiveness and economic efficiency of the transport corridor passing through Turkmenistan.

According to the Russian publication PortNews, Alexander Sharov, General Director of Neftekhimtrans LLC, stated during the 11th TransLogistika St. Petersburg conference (September 30 – October 1) that the railway route along the North-South International Transport Corridor, which runs through Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, is more profitable for carriers than other routes.

The expert’s statement is based on specific economic indicators and tariffs. The expert called these rates «very interesting», confirming that they are actively used by the market.

This expert opinion provides direct evidence of the success of Turkmenistan’s investments in creating its own modern transport infrastructure, including key railway hubs and the development of the port of Turkmenbashi. The competitive advantage of the route through Turkmenistan is becoming especially relevant amid the expansion of international trade.

Thus, Turkmenistan, thanks to its infrastructure and favorable tariffs, is becoming the most efficient and indispensable link in this strategic corridor, ensuring the expedited and economically viable flow of goods from Eurasia to Iranian ports, and through them to the Indian Ocean.
