Turkmenistan to Tighten Control Over Export and Import Prices

Today, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov held a regular meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers via digital means, where a number of issues pertaining to the country’s public life were discussed.

Deputy Chairman of the Cabinet of Ministers N. Atagulyev reported on ongoing efforts to increase the country’s foreign trade turnover and expand its export potential.

As reported, the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange effectively utilizes international databases on global market conditions for exported and imported products in its work in this area. Particular attention is paid to cooperation with leading global companies.

In this regard, the Deputy Prime Minister submitted a corresponding proposal for the head of state’s consideration.

After hearing the report, President Serdar Berdimuhamedov emphasized that productive work is underway in our country aimed at increasing foreign trade turnover and export potential. Having approved the proposal to control prices on goods exported from our country and products imported into Turkmenistan, the head of state addressed a number of instructions to the Deputy Prime Minister.
