Caspian Sea Ports Consider Launch of Maritime Single Window

19.12.2025

Ports on the Caspian Sea are considering the launch of a Maritime Single Window initiative, TRACECA said Wednesday following the Caspian Ports and Logistics 2025 international exhibition and conference held in Aktau.

According to TRACECA, the introduction of the initiative in Caspian ports is viewed as a key step toward further streamlining maritime transport procedures and improving coordination among industry stakeholders.

The Maritime Single Window is a digital reporting platform designed to simplify the exchange of mandatory information between government authorities and maritime industry participants, while supporting the long-term digitization of shipping.

The International Trans-Caspian Transport Route, known as the Middle Corridor, links Europe and Asia via China, Kazakhstan, the Caspian Sea, Azerbaijan and Georgia. The route is used for container transportation involving both rail and maritime transport.
