Astrakhan Region and Turkmenistan Intend to Develop Cooperation Between Shipbuilding Enterprises

A working meeting took place between the Consul of Turkmenistan in Astrakhan, Gadam Ilamanov, and the Minister of External Relations of the Astrakhan Region, Vladimir Golovkov. The parties noted that 2025 was a year of strengthening fruitful ties between the Astrakhan Region and Turkmenistan.
“According to the results of 2025, the cargo turnover of the Astrakhan Region with Turkmenistan increased by 38%,” noted Vladimir Golovkov. “Supplies of fish products to Turkmenistan increased fourfold, and the volume of wheat flour exports managed to increase more than threefold.”
The parties focused attention on issues of intensifying joint work on the development of the “North-South” international transport corridor, continuing cooperation between the ports of the Astrakhan Region and the port of Turkmenbashi, and cooperation between shipbuilding and ship repair enterprises, reports the press service of the government of the Astrakhan Region.
