Turkmenistan and Belarus have agreed on a quota for exchanging permits for international road freight transport for 2027.

The decision was reached during a meeting of the Turkmen-Belarus Joint Committee on International Road Transport in Minsk, the Belarusian Ministry of Transport and Communications reported Friday.

Under the agreement, drivers from both countries will be allowed to use digital tachograph printouts within each other’s territory, provided that vehicles are equipped with control devices meeting the requirements of the European Agreement concerning the Work of Crews of Vehicles (AETR).

Officials from both countries also discussed key issues related to bilateral cooperation in road freight transport during the meeting.
