A gas compressor station will be built at the Shatlyk field in the Mary region. The project will be implemented by the Turkish company “Çalik Enerji Sanayi ve Ticaret A.Ş.” The decree authorizing the State Concern “Turkmengas” to conclude a contract with this company for the design, construction and equipping of the Şatlyk-1 gas compressor station with the necessary equipment was signed by the President of Turkmenistan during a government meeting on Friday.

The terms of the contract provide for the reconstruction or construction of new supply engineering systems and structures for electricity, gas, water supply and communications with connection to the general network and the performance of commissioning work on the facility.

The construction of the gas compressor station will begin next month, and the facility is intended to be fully operational in two years.

The Shatlyk field in the Mary region of Turkmenistan is an important facility for natural gas production in the country. In recent years, positive changes in production indicators have been recorded here due to the introduction of new technologies and modernization of equipment. This field provides a significant contribution to gas exports, supporting Turkmenistan’s energy security and contributing to the development of its economy. Shatlyk uses innovative methods to increase production and maintain stable production levels, which allows it to supply both domestic and foreign markets with energy resources.
