Deputy Minister of Transport and Communications of the Kyrgyz Republic Bekzhan Rysmendeev said that his country is interested in the development of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor and supports initiatives to improve infrastructure and multimodal logistics. He said this at a high-level event to launch the Coordination Platform of the Trans-Caspian Transport Corridor in Ashgabat on October 3.

In addition, during a working visit to Turkmenistan, Bekzhan Rysmendeev met with the Director General of the Agency for Transport and Communications under the Cabinet of Ministers of Turkmenistan Mammetkhan Chakyev and discussed current issues of cooperation with him.

The parties emphasized the significant increase in cargo turnover between the two countries and agreed to jointly resolve issues by creating favorable conditions for business representatives, according to a press release from the Ministry of Transport of the Kyrgyz Republic.
