Turkmen and Uzbek railroads will introduce tariffs that are more competitive
Within the framework of the 81st meeting of the Council on Railway Transport of CIS member states, held on November 5-6 in Tashkent, a meeting was held between Chairman of the Board of “Uzbekistan Temir Yullari” JSC Zufar Narzullaev and Chairman of the Agency of Railways of Turkmenistan Azat Atamuradov.
The two sides discussed a number of key issues aimed at developing railroad ties between the two countries.
Uzbekistan and Turkmenistan plan to increase the volume of transported cargoes by rail, work together to modernize and upgrade the fleet of freight and passenger cars. In order to increase transit traffic, the parties agreed to introduce more competitive tariffs for rail transportation.
