Today, the 29th session of the Conference of the Parties to the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (COP29) started in the capital of Azerbaijan. The delegation of Turkmenistan is actively participating in this important international forum, which is one of the key platforms for discussing global climate policy and strengthening cooperation between countries in this area, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkmenistan reports.

At the climate conference, participating countries will hold discussions on reducing the effects of climate change and accelerating the energy transition. A new global target for financing measures to combat climate change will be set as part of the agenda of the current session.
