At the Cabinet of Ministers meeting, Director General of the Transport and Communications Agency Mammetkhan Chakyev reported on the ongoing measures to modernize the railway sector of Turkmenistan. As part of these efforts, it is planned to build new railway stations in various regions of the country, which will be an important step in strengthening the material and technical base and improving working conditions of the industry’s employees.

The head of state supported the proposal to build railway stations in Dushak and Bamy (Akhal province), Jebel (Balkan province) and Bayramali (Mary province). The President instructed the head of the Transport and Communications Agency to organize the works within the framework of the approved program.

Modern railway stations will become hubs for passenger and freight transportation, facilitating the growth of trade, industry and agriculture. The new stations will create comfortable conditions for traveling, as well as provide more efficient interaction between regions.

The construction and operation of the stations will require skilled labor, which will create new jobs and increase employment in the regions. Modern stations will also strengthen Turkmenistan’s position as a key transit hub in Central Asia, facilitating the country’s integration into international transport corridors.

Modernization of the railway infrastructure is part of a comprehensive state program aimed at developing Turkmenistan’s transport system. The new stage of construction will demonstrate the country’s readiness for future challenges and emphasize its status as a center of regional cooperation.
