President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov received CEO of Saudi Fund for Development Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Marshad.

As mentioned above, thanking the guest for taking the time to accept the invitation, he said that Saudi Arabia attaches great importance to mutually beneficial co-operation with Turkmenistan in various spheres.

President Serdar Berdimuhamedov warmly welcomed the guest and expressed confidence that his first visit to Turkmenistan would contribute to the further development and intensification of mutually beneficial cooperation between the two countries in the financial and economic sphere.

During the meeting, it was said that Turkmenistan attaches great importance to the development of mutually beneficial relations with the countries of the world and reputable international financial organizations. The high level of relations between Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development was also noted with satisfaction.

“Turkmenistan has been co-operating with this fund for many years. In the past, the fund has been actively involved in financing a number of major projects of national and international importance implemented in the country. The projects are implemented in the spheres of health care, transport and communications and the financial sector is a vivid example of this. The implementation of these projects serves not only the interests of the participating countries, but also the interests of the peoples of all countries in the region” said President Serdar Berdimuhamedov and sincerely thanked the guest for his support in strengthening cooperation between Turkmenistan and the Saudi Fund for Development.
