In order to maintain domestic and international vessels in good technical condition, “Shipbuilding and Shipyard ‘Balkan’ OJSC offers a wide range of repair services for various types of vessels in accordance with international requirements.

Repair rules provide for the application of advanced methods of technical operation and repair, comprehensively carried out according to the system of preventive maintenance, as well as maintenance of all elements of the ship through the established periods in the course of its operation.

Types of ship repair works:

• – Lifting of vessels to the dock weighing up to 10,000 tons long – 155/22
• – Defecting of hull structures with measurements of residual thicknesses and preparation of report documentation;
• – Repair of hull structures: set, planking, decks, platforms, inner bottom, longitudinal and transverse bulkheads;
• – Repairs of the following items: portholes, external doors in superstructures and deckhouses, cabin doors, covers of light and ventilation hatches;
• Cleaning of hulls from old paintwork using sandblasting equipment. Application of new paintwork;

MODERNIZATION

Modernization is a way of increasing the efficiency of a vessel.

As a result, a vessel is obtained which favorably differs from the original one in its operational characteristics. Modernization makes it possible to change its class, purpose and dimensions, to increase safety and environmental friendliness of navigation, to postpone or restore the schedule of classification inspections, as well as to extend the life of the vessel. In addition, delivery of spare parts for modern equipment is faster than for obsolete equipment.
