During the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, which is taking place in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, the Shipbuilding and Repairing Yard “Balkan” was visited by Mr. Wang Yong, Deputy Chairman of the All-China Committee of the Chinese People’s Political Consultative Conference (CPPCC), along with his delegation.

During the visit, the guest was shown the plant’s infrastructural capabilities, modern technologies, and key production processes, including shipbuilding and ship repair.

The plant’s management also informed the delegation about a current tender announced by the State Service of Maritime and River Transport of Turkmenistan. The tender calls for the construction of two Ro-Ro ferries and one dry cargo vessel, with financing to be provided by the Islamic Development Bank.

At the conclusion of the visit, Mr. Wang Yong highly praised the plant’s production potential and organization. He extended his best wishes to the plant’s staff and noted that he would inform Chinese shipbuilding companies about the ongoing tender.
