The Third Caspian Economic Forum will be held in Tehran on 17-18 February. A high-ranking delegation from Turkmenistan will also take part in it. This was announced by the national leader of the Turkmen people, Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov in a telephone conversation with President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkiyan.

Hero Arkadag said that it would be advisable to focus on solving economic, social, environmental and humanitarian problems of the Caspian Sea at this forum.

During the interview, the Chairman of the People’s Council of Turkmenistan drew attention to one of the important issues – the current situation in the Caspian Sea. As already noted, Turkmenistan and Iran cooperate in this sphere on a bilateral and pentagonal basis. In this regard, it was proposed to intensify co-operation in this sphere.
