A representative of the State Customs Service of Turkmenistan, together with colleagues from the Transport and Logistics Center of Turkmenistan, participated in a study visit to Germany from August 24 to 30. The event was organized within the framework of the regional project “Trade Facilitation in Central Asia” (TFCA), implemented by the German Society for International Cooperation (GIZ).

The program of the visit, which was dedicated to studying Germany’s experience in logistics and supply chain management, included visits to leading German companies: “Rhenus Group” (Duisburg), “Henkel HCB Logistics” (Dusseldorf, Holthausen), “Pfenning Logistics”, “Emons company”, “BLG Logistics” and “Am Zehnhoff-Söns”. Modern methods of warehousing, multimodal logistics and sustainable development were studied. Special attention was paid to digitalization, process automation and environmentally friendly technologies.

Turkmenistan’s participation in this event also made it possible to establish close working contacts with colleagues from Central Asian countries.
