Within the framework of the Third UN Conference on Landlocked Developing Countries, held in the Avaza National Tourist Zone, Turkmen-Uzbek negotiations were held on cooperation in the transport sector.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Transport of Uzbekistan, the negotiations were attended by the Minister of Automobile Transport of Turkmenistan Begench Annadurdyev, the Minister of Railway Transport of Turkmenistan Mammet Akmammedov and the Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Ilkhom Makhkamov.

The parties discussed issues of expanding bilateral cooperation in the field of automobile and rail transportation, as well as the development of international multimodal transport corridors using the seaport of Turkmenistan.
