President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov signed a Resolution on Friday during a Cabinet of Ministers meeting, authorizing the Türkmenawtoulaglary Agency of the Transport and Communications Agency under the Cabinet of Ministers to conclude a contract with the Chinese company Yutong Bus Co., Ltd. for the purchase of 700 Yutong ZK6128HG model buses, as reported by the official media of Turkmenistan.

The decision aims to improve the quality of passenger transportation in alignment with the “Program of the President of Turkmenistan for the Socio-Economic Development of the Country for 2022–2028” and the “Revival of a New Epoch of a Powerful State: National Program for the Socio-Economic Development of Turkmenistan for 2022–2052.”

The General Director of the Agency, Mammethan Chakyyev, presented the draft document and reported on the activities of the structures under his supervision, including efforts to enhance the material and technical base and improve passenger services, with a particular focus on the development of the urban bus system.

The meeting also addressed various other state issues, and participants made corresponding decisions.
